WA Virtual Rally Series

Presented By

West Australian Car Club

The WA Virtual Rally Series is a series of 'single event rallies' played on game machines or computers and run like a special stage rally - without the huge cost! Designed to fill in the gaps between rallies by providing a competitive outing for drivers, co-drivers, service crews, officials and any interested people. The rules are very simple and anyone that can operate a game machine and be a part of the West Australian Car Club (WACC) can join in.

The rules: -

  • Competitors must be a member of the WACC to start. Children not yet over 12 years of age can register for the series for $10 when a parent is also a member.
  • Entry fee is $5 per event.
  • Competitors set a time for each stage on one of the game machines provided on the night.
  • Events are scored on time set for each stage, like a normal rally.
  • Classes are based on age groups with divisions for Ladies and Gentlemen. Anyone that can operate the game machine can enter. Age groups are 12 years and under, teenagers and adults. Ages as at 31 December 2004.
  • Points are allocated to each class in each event listed in the calendar as follows. Fastest = 20 points, 2nd = 16 points, 3rd = 14 points, and 4th to 10th are 12,10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1 respectively.
  • There is no outright classification, series awards will go to the competitor in each class with the most points

WA Car Club memberships are available by completing the form at http://www.wacarclub.com.au/memberships.html and payment of the appropriate fee. Memberships will be available on event nights.

Nominations can be made by e-mailing names of competitors to paul@interactive-knowledge.biz
